Week One Pass/Fail Report: SEC

SEC Record: 13-1

Pass: Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, Florida, Vanderbilt

Texas A&M, Georgia, Mississippi State, Missouri, Arkansas, Florida: All got their annual season opening cupcake wins against over matched FCS programs. Nothing else to say about that.

Alabama: Crimson Tide exceeded already high expectations in blowout of Louisville. At least they played someone more their speed.

Auburn: Most impressive win in the SEC last weekend, as they defensively frustrated Washington in a 21-16 win. It wasn't pretty, but it was necessary.

South Carolina: Blew out Coastal Carolina, Jake Bentley tossed 4 TD passes in the win.

Ole Miss: Jordan Ta'amu passes for 336 yards, and the Rebels scored 24 in the first quarter to run away from Texas Tech in Houston. I also loved the all white uniforms this week.

Kentucky: Wildcats got pushed hard for a half by Central Michigan, but survived. Benny Snell runs for 2 scores.

Vanderbilt: Commodores looked solid in season opening win over Middle Tennessee, as Kyle Shurmur passes for 2 TDs.

Fail: Tennessee

Tennessee: Jeremy Pruitt has a long project ahead of him in rebuilding the Vols, who could not defend the pass in the loss to West Virginia. The offense was not great either.
