College Football and NFL Games of the Week

Here are my selections for the best games available in FBS, FCS, Division 2 and NFL action this weekend:

FBS Football
Alabama vs. Ole Miss: The Rebels have given the Tide fits recently. Does the trend continue?
Ohio State at TCU: Buckeyes and Frogs meet for first time since '73. Biggest test for both so far.
Boise State at Oklahoma State: Cowboys have not played anyone, Broncos looking for the upset.
Duke at Baylor: Both are surprising out the gate, and looking for 3-0 starts. Duke without Jones.
Vanderbilt at Notre Dame: Irish were flat last week, and Vandy has momentum with 2-0 start.
Eastern Michigan at Buffalo: EMU upset of Purdue was huge, while Buffalo looks solid early.
LSU at Auburn: Tiger bowl has high stakes for both sides who look to run with Alabama.
USC at Texas: Losing coach here starts facing some intense scrutiny moving forward.
Washington at Utah: Huskies lead series 10-1, but Utes are looking for solid start in conference.

FCS Football
McNeese State at Nicholls State: Winner gets huge early boost in Southland play.
North Alabama at North Dakota St.: UNA looking to get a gauge on how they look in FCS play.
Villanova at Towson: Towson could be tough road out for Wildcats in early CAA play.
Southern Illinois at SE Missouri: Salukis pushed Ole Miss, while SEMS looks for upset at home.
Princeton at Butler: Tigers open season on road against Bulldog team that beat Youngstown St.
Elon at William & Mary: Could have mid level CAA playoff implications at stake.
South Dakota at Weber State: Potential playoff rematch in November?
Eastern Kentucky at Bowling Green: Huge FCS upset potential here for EKU.
Dayton at Duquesne: Dukes need this home win to keep late season playoff hopes alive.
North Dakota at Sam Houston State: Both teams are playoff worthy in early non con match up.

Division 2
Colorado State Pueblo at Colorado Mines: Both teams in RMC title hunt, and are always fun.
West Alabama at Valdosta Sate: Match of  potential early Gulf South title candidates.
Central Missouri at Missouri Western: UCM Mules cannot afford a loss here in MIAA play.

NFL
Carolina at Atlanta: Falcons were flat on offense in loss to Philly, while Panthers were not sharp in win over Cowboys. Both sides need the win here to solidify themselves early.

Minnesota at Green Bay: Aaron Rogers has the most watched knee in football this week, and Vikings are ready to pounce. Vikings win cements them as clear favorite in NFC North.

Miami at New York Jets
Weird to say that the winner here is 2-0 to start the season, and that would provide that team with some real playoff hopes. Weird.

Kansas City at Pittsburgh
Steelers really blew it in tie with Browns last week. Kansas City got a solid win at the Chargers. Steeler loss here would be a very bad thing.

Philadelphia at Tampa Bay
Eagles were not overwhelmingly great in win over Atlanta. Bucs rode Ryan Fitzpatrick to a high scoring huge win against Saints. Eagles have to be on upset alert here.

New England at Jacksonville
Rematch of AFC title game last season. Patriots need to be on full alert for a Jags upset push, even if injuries at RB could slow the Jags this week.
