Davidson Sets Multiple Records In 91-61 Win

The Davidson Wildcats shattered multiple records in a 91-61 win over Division 3 Guilford yesterday. This was the 3rd consecutive game for the Wildcats playing against lower level schools, and the Cats have now won 3 games for the first time since 2011, when they finished 4-7 on the season.

Davidson broke records for total yards (964) and rushing yards (685) in a single game. They set program records for points and yards at the half with 57 halftime points and 524 yards of total offense.

Davidson averaged 15.5 yards per play on the day, and 8 of 13 TDs went for 50 yards or more, with another coming from 40 yards or more. Davidson played 3 QBs who combined to complete 8/8 passes for 279 yards and 3 scores.

Five different backs rushed for 80 yards or more on the day, with Wesley Duggar and Coy Williams combining for 354 yards rushing and 5 scores. Corey Coppola blocked 3 kicks.

Guilford finished with 684 yards of offense, with the two teams combining for 1662 total offensive yards in the game.
