Conference Record For Week 2: 7-5
Pass: UCF, Houston, USF, East Carolina, Navy, Cincinnati, Tulane
UCF: It wasn't perfect, but the Knights threw a shutout on FCS opponent South Carolina State, while McKenzie Milton did not have close to his best game.
Houston: The Cougars jumped on Arizona early in the game, and never let up in an easy win. The Cougars picked off Khalil Tate 2 times, and boxed him up as a runner as well. Houston led 31-0 at the half.
USF: The Bulls pulled away in the 4th quarter to beat Georgia Tech, with Blake Barnett passing for 202 yards and 2 TDs on the day. Big win over Power 5 team.
East Carolina: The AAC got yet another win over the ACC last weekend when the Pirates, fresh off a loss t North Carolina A&T, rolled up East Carolina like Clemson would. Reid herring passd for 290 yards, and the Pirates will not be sneaking up on anyone again.
Navy: Coming off a loss to Hawaii on the road, Navy had plenty to prove. Middies outscore Memphis 13-0 in the 4th to steal a 22-21 AAC opener over Memphis. Navy us still alive and well.
Cincinnati: Bearcats shut out Miami (Ohio) as a 2 point dog, and the defense is allowing just 8.5 points per game in a surprising 2-0 start. Desmond Ridder rushed for 100 yards at the QB position in the win.
Tulane: Corey Dauphine rushed for 152 yards and 3 scores on just 6 carries, as the Green Wave refuses to be another victim for Nicholls in a 42-17 win.
Fail: SMU, U Conn, Temple, Memphis, Tulsa
SMU: The Mustangs are worse than we thought, and it turns out that Chad Morris did not build a foundation at all for Sonny Dykes to build on. The Mustangs lose to TCU by 30.
U Conn: Randy Edsell 2.0 continues to be absolutely terrible. The Huskies allowed 818 yards of offense against Boise State. 400 passing, and another 400 rushing. This team is on upset watch against FCS member Rhode Island this week. Pathetic.
Temple: Temple already took their knocks against an FCS team in a week one loss to Villanova. This week, the Owls gave away a perfectly winnable game to Buffalo in a 7 point loss. Owls are garbage in one score games out the gate.
Memphis: Brady White fell apart a week after he torched an FCS cupcake and got everyone excited. Enthusiasm must be tempered after the Tigers blew it in the 4th against Navy in a one point loss where White was limited to 145 yards passing by a team that got roasted through the air by Hawaii one week earlier.
Tulsa: The Golden Hurricane had Texas in a position to dump a game to Tulsa.Tulsa, as is their custom, blows the opportunity in a 28-21 loss. Phillip Montgomery is not getting it done.
