Week One Pass/Fail Report: Big 10

Big 10 Record: 11-2

Pass: Minnesota, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Maryland, Rutgers, Iowa, Indiana

Minnesota: Rodney Smith rushes for 153 yards, Gophers put away New Mexico State by the half.
Northwestern: Huge win over Purdue on the road as Jeremy Larkin runs for 2 scores.
Wisconsin: Jonathon Taylor runs for 2 scores and 145 yards in easy win over Western Kentucky.
Ohio State: Buckeyes show there are no distractions as they roll up 77 on Oregon State.
Maryland: Terps build big lead early, then hang on for 2nd straight win over Texas.
Rutgers: Sitkowski passes for 205 yards, Knights put Texas State away early.
Iowa: Hawkeyes put away doubts in 33-7 win over Northern Illinois after slow first half.
Indiana: Hoosiers get 3 TD passes from Patrick Ramsey in 38-28 win over FIU.

Record: Purdue, Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois

Purdue: Boilers struggle early and come up short in huge home test against Northwestern.
Penn State: Nittany Lions are damned lucky to escape with a win over Appalachian State in OT at home. Got caught looking ahead to Pitt?
Michigan: Wolverines looked lost and offense got dominated in loss to Notre Dame on the road.
Michigan State: Sparty plays ugly in narrow win over Utah State, and probably should have lost.
Illinois: Fightless Illini were yet another Big 10 winner who probably should have lost, this time to Kent State. Lovie is just not into it.
