Northwestern and Purdue will be meeting for the 82nd time Thursday night in Indiana, with Purdue leading the all-time series with a record of 50-31-1. Northwestern currently holds a 4 game winning streak against the Boilermakers dating back to 2014 season. Northwestern won in '14 38-14, in '15 21-14, in '16 45-17, and last season 23-13.
Prior to this 4 game run, the teams had not played since 2010, when Purdue beat Northwestern 20-17. Northwestern has won 8 of the last 11 meetings against Purdue, but prior to that, Purdue had won 22 of 25 meetings between 1967 and 1991. Prior to 1967, the teams had not met since 1958.
