AAC
Still in it: UCF, Temple, USF, Cincinnati, Houston
Elimination Zone: East Carolina, U Conn, Navy, Memphis, Tulsa
On the edge: SMU, Tulane
The Breakdown: UCF and Temple will clear things up tonight in Orlando, as they clash for full control of the East Division. The winner completely controls their own destiny moving forward, the loser will need some help. Cincinnati and USF both have conference losses now, but USF could still control things if they can beat UCF in the finale and win out otherwise. Cincinnati already has a loss to Temple, and now needs the Owls to lose tonight, and then once more. USF lost to Houston, and that loss actually helps them, as the divisional race was not impacted.
As far as Houston is concerned, the Cougars now control their own destiny in the West, and would have to lose 3 times, while SMU and Tulane would have to win out. That scenario is highly unlikely at this point in time, so it would seem that we can basically put the stamp on Houston in the conference title game.
