ACC
Still in it: Clemson, Boston College, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Miami
Elimination Zone: Florida State, Wake Forest, Louisville, Georgia Tech, Duke, North Carolina
On the edge: Syracuse, NC State
The Breakdown: Clemson has all but locked up a spot in the ACC title game, with a road trip to Boston College, their final hurdle, coming up next week. The Tigers have already beaten NC State and Syracuse, and so the Pack and Orange would have a very difficult time getting Clemson to lose as much as they would need. If Boston College beats Clemson, things get very much muddied, and the Eagles would control their own destiny moving forward in November.
Virginia is in a narrow margin of control in the Coastal. They have beaten Miami, will play Pitt this weekend in an elimination game for the Panthers, an will travel to play Virginia Tech in the finale. The Coastal is still very much in play, but the Cavaliers are burning hot right now, and it would be tough to bet against them, even though hurdles remain. Virginia Tech has been a mess, and a loss to Boston College this week would basically eliminate them, if Virginia wins against Pitt. the schedule for the Hokies is brutal moving forward. Pitt has to beat Virginia this weekend, and basically would then have to win out. Miami needs a ton of help moving forward, and is looking for some chaos in the next two weeks to benefit them.
Top Week 10 Games: Pitt at Virginia; Boston College at Virginia Tech; Duke at Miami
Coaches on the Hot Seat: Bobby Petrino, Louisville; Paul Johnson, Georgia Tech; Larry Fedora, North Carolina
