FBS Conference Title Chase Update: Mountain West

Mountain West

Still in it: Utah State, Boise State, Fresno State, San Diego State

On the Edge: Nevada, Hawaii

Elimination Zone: Colorado State, New Mexico, Air Force, Wyoming, San Jose State, UNLV

The Breakdown: The Aggies path is fairly clear. Continue winning, and they have claimed the Mountain Division. The Aggies are huge road favorites against Hawaii this week, and then should cruise against San Jose State and Colorado State before meeting Boise State on the road in the finale.
Boise State has to win out and beat Utah State in the finale, or they would need 2 USU losses, which is not a likely scenario at this point. The Broncos will play out of MWC play this week with BYU, but will also have Fresno State the week after at home. That will tell the tale. If Fresno State beats the Broncos, Boise State will not have to worry much about the Aggies.

The West is fairly clear for Fresno State right now. If they win out, they have won the division title. The Bulldogs should crush UNLV this week before playing Boise State the week after. San Diego State comes to Fresno the week after playing Boise State, which will be a final hurdle.
San Diego State has to beat the Bulldogs and win out overall to maintain control from her on out. The Aztecs have a much easier path than Fresno State does, as they take on New Mexico this week, and UNLV the following week before they have to meet the Bulldogs. The season concludes with Hawaii at home.

Top Week 10 Games: BYU at Boise State; Utah State at Hawaii

Coaches on the Hot Seat: Mike Bobo, Colorado State; Bob Davie, New Mexico; Troy Calhoun, Air Force; Brian Brennan, San Jose State, Tony Sanchez, UNLV
