Final Scores
Army 24, North Texas 0

Indiana 38, Western Kentucky 21
Memphis 24, Middle Tennessee 17
Texas A&M 27, FIU 20
Arkansas State 34, UL-Monroe 20

Taught a Master's Class
Arkansas State Indians (or Red Wolves if you prefer)
ASU QB Ryan Alpin is probably the best QB in the nation that you'll never hear about outside of here. He worked his magic again over the weekend, passing for 243 yards, while also leading the team in rushing with 75 yards. He found the end zone twice, once through the air, and once by ground. ASU fans had better hope that he can stay healthy all season, because he is your only hope right now.

Didn't Learn Much
Outside of ASU, nobody learned a thing this week. This could have been one of the worst weeks ever for the Sun Belt.

Failing Grade
North Texas Eagles (or Mean Green if you don't want to offend any birds)
Todd dodge is watching his final season as UNT HC in complete agony right now. There really is nothing left to save in Denton, as there really is no way for him to reach any of the markers set forth to keep his job after this season.

Troy Trojans
We have come to expect more from the Trojans. They led 26-13 after 3, and then the defense went into a complete brain failure, and UAB stormed back for the win. This is especially disturbing considering that the break down came against UAB, a team that has not been able to get out of their own way in 2010.

Western Kentucky Hilltoppers
The good news is that WKU only lost by 17. It can always be far worse. WKU needs someone...anyone...to step up offensively other than Bobby Rainey. I can only imagine the kind of back he would be in a better program.

Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders
I know that it's been a wierd season with Dwight Dasher being suspended for 4 games and all, but losing to Memphis is hitting bottom. Rick Stockstill didn't stick around for this madness. The players have to find a heart beat at some point. The silver lining is that Dasher will only miss one more game and then you get him back for the Sun Belt slate.

FIU Golden Panthers
FIU had the biggest win in their history within their grasp, and it slipped through their fingers against A&M last Saturday. The heart has to break when you realize just how close they were, with a 20-6 lead going into the 4th. It's just painful.

UL-Monroe Warhawks
When everyone in Monroe starts bitching about Todd Berry and how bad of a coach he is, remember Warhawk fans, you heard it here first. This was possibly the worst hire in America last off season. As a matter of fact, it's the UNM Mike Locksley hiring of 2010. The AD should go down with the ship on this one.

Week 4 Schedule
FIU (0-2) at Maryland (2-1)
Arkansas State (1-2) at Troy (1-2)
North Texas (0-3) at  FAU (1-1)
Middle Tennessee (1-2) at UL-Lafayette (1-1)
SE Louisiana (1-2) at UL-Monroe (0-2)
Western Kentucky (0-3) at South Florida (1-1)
